Dads & Daughters Dance 2014 :: Pax Christi Catholic Church

Baby G...just in time!

Baby G made his arrival just in time to spend Christmas and New Year with the family!  What an awesome early Christmas present!  Hey, some of you parents know exactly what I mean!  ;) 

I had the pleasure of photographing Baby G's aunt's wedding a few years back and was quite honored when they asked me to do his newborn pictures!  We can also make the world a bit smaller...during that wedding I found out Baby G's grandmother was my FIFTH GRADE TEACHER!  Hats off to Mrs. W  and the D family to arrival of your new grandson! 

Baby G seriously must have been one of the best newborns for me to photograph.  This boy didn't sleep, but he sure was content!  I'm pretty sure he crashed for a long snooze after I was done with him.

Welcome Baby A!

You know that friend that moved away and you haven't talked to in a while, but you can still call or text and you pick up right where you left of?  That's what Baby A's mom is to me.  Her with three kids at home and me with my two, we commiserate, complain, swap parenting tactics, stories and uplift each other during the hard times.  You know the 'hard' times.  When the preschooler doesn't want to nap anymore and has 'painted' the walls with his diaper contents while the toddler has a cold that makes his little nose resemble Niagra Falls and the baby just wants to nurse every 20 minutes and.you.just.want.to.unload.the.dishwasher.  And maybe, just MAYBE take a shower.  Oh wait...you also forgot to brush your teeth this morning.  Yeahhhhh....'those' times....

Here's to baby A!  We will come see you and your brothers in the spring time for a play date!

Hey Folks!  It has been pretty quiet on the blog (I know, I'm neglecting it!) as well as my camera's shutter.  I'm itching to get some peeps in front of my lens soon!  Saturday's forecast looks like it might cooperate for an outdoor session!  Here are the details...

Where: Waveland State Historic Site (just off Nicholasville Rd in Lexington)

$50 for session fee
$53 for images (via dropbox)
$15 minimum print order
+$5 if you would like a mailed disc of images

Baby Tessa :: Newborn

Get your baby fix with my newest niece's pictures!  I have to hand it to my sis-n-law.  She's a no-frills kinda gal who's practical.  She did spend time surfing pinterest for newborn photography ideas, but her ideas didn't require extensive set up on my behalf or extra dollars invested in cute boutique newborn accessories.  We use what's on hand and make it work.  For memorable photographs.  Their dining room was the perfect set up with a huge window to let in lotsa yummy light! I commend my sis-n-law for sticking with simple, yet love filled and unforgettable ideas.

Tiffani & Austin :: Keeneland Engagement

Keeneland...so much in one space...and so many memories...

Here's where forever started for them...Austin asked this woman one of the most important questions of her life back during the spring races.  Over looking the paddock from one of the balconies, he humbly got down on one knee (despite the horses and humdrum of the usual spring races) and asked if she would spend forever with him.  And she accepted...

I had the pleasure of meeting Tiffani and Austin because someone purchased an engagement session as a gift.  How special!  Two people running after Christ and sharing what the love of our Lord and Savior really means. This couple sure had A LOT of patience...between scheduling around holidays, vacations and weather...we finally were able to capture these moments...all with one month to go before the wedding! 

Cheers to your 1 month anniversary as I finally get to updating my blog.

Baby C and the H Family

On the first day of snow fall I thought it would be appropriate to share images taken in September....how nice would it be to walk outside barefoot and in short sleeves?!  I'm such a tease, aren't I?!  The H family are friends of ours and I love that we have kids close in age.  Saturday night church and the occasional holiday and birthday get-togethers keep us in touch!  Enjoy!
