Lindsey & Ben: Frankfort Wedding

This wasn't just ANY wedding; but a friend's wedding.  Talk about extra pressure!!  Lindsey came to me last summer asking for info about my weddings.  Shortly after we met I found out I was pregnant and my due date was super close to her wedding day!  She hadn't made up her mind about a photographer yet, but I sadly told her if she had wanted me to photograph her wedding I wouldn't be able to.  Nine days after her wedding date I had my little boy; so I can't image trying to twist and contort my Buddha belly body to snag an awesome shot!  So how did I get her wedding pictures???  Well the wedding date was changed...so I was able to do it after all!

Lindsey has such spunk and an excessive amount of energy that it is contagious!!  On her wedding day she was as cool, calm, collected, and down to Earth as I've ever seen her.  What a day and what a great time I had with the formals.  Since Lindsey was a friend, many of the bridesmaids were friends as well, which made for a more relaxed environment to snag some awesome shots.  Here are some of my favs...

M Family

I have to thank this family for all the referrals they have sent my way!  Mitchell Photography keeps growing because of this family!  I must say it is neat to have the same families visit me every year; especially the ones with children because I get to watch the grow.  I definitely enjoyed watching their son come out of his shell a little more.  He was definitely more animated and posing for many more shots than last year.

We did the shoot at the park located near Millpond Center, just off Boston Rd.  Such a charming little park with weeping willows, gazebos, autumn leaves falling, and wooden and stone bridges.  Enjoy!

I have a confession AND Fall Frenzy

So this blog has two parts: my confession and images from my Fall Frenzy mini-sessions.  :)

Part I: I have a confession; I'm addicted to pumpkins.  Fortunately this addiction is only short-lived....say from the months of October through December.  I desire, covet and am drawn to anything pumpkin.  Pumpkin ice-cream, pumpkin scones, pumpkin latte, pumpkin -n-cream cheese dip with graham sticks and ginger snaps, pumpkin pie, pumpkin pudding, pumpkin candles, pumpkin butter, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin...ok you get the point.  That spasm probably took you back to Forrest Gump (shrimp salad, shrimp....)  Right now my home smells like a huge pumpkin; thanks to my Yankee Candle.  :)  My mouth is also watering.  :) As soon as the orange, grooved orbs make their way to supermaket shelves my husband starts rolling his eyes because he knows every bakery or creamery we pass I'm BEGGING him to stop the car so I can satisfy my tastebuds.  He's probably also hoping his wife won't turn orange from all the pumpkin consumption.  Ahhhh....to each their own. :)

Part II: Fall Frenzy!  Fall Frenzy was a pilot/test trial for seasonal mini-sessions.  I orgininally planned on having 3 30-minute sessions scheduled for two Sundays.  Well, 6sessions grew to 12 sessions...and probably would've had more if I had more time in my schedule!  I was completely bookup within 24 hours!  I was actually turning down business!  Many thanks to previous customers and NEW customers!!  For the record 6 were previous customers and 6 were new customers.  Here are a few images from the first two Sundays (one more Sunday to come).  ...and for those who are interested, I'm working on scheduling a Winter Holiday Session; ya know...for those Christmas cards everyone sends out.  :)  If you're interested in getting on my mailing list, please e-mail me at amanda.mitchell08@yahoo.com and let me know you would like to receive information about the Winter Holiday Session (and other Mitchell Photography promotions)
